Education on the Dangers of Microplastics


The activity was initiated by the Taruna Hita Global THG Foundation which focuses on environmental conservation. Educational activities were provided to the children of the Indonesian Children's Assistance Foundation located in the Children's Center Area in Banjar Pancoran, Panji Anom Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency on April 11 2026
The activity was welcomed by several foster parents from abroad, and provided support for environmental education for children from an early age.


The dangers of microplastics, which clearly have a health impact on humans, must be handled wisely. Apart from education on the dangers of microplastics, we also provide how to manage plastic waste in each home #gersaplast (Generation Save Plastics), namely saving plastic waste, not throwing plastic waste carelessly into the environment #stopluutung.

Managing plastic waste is very important and the habit of reducing the use of single-use plastic with the Rethink concept and having the courage to refuse to use plastic with the Refuse concept.

According to data from the Indonesian Plastic Industry Association (INAPLAS) and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), this country is capable of producing around 64 million tons of plastic waste every year. Microplastics can pose potential health risks involving immune disorders, brain nerve damage, reproductive disorders, and carcinogenic potential. Apart from that, other health risks that can arise due to microplastics and the chemicals contained in them include reproductive disorders, liver function disorders, kidney function disorders and anemia.

Seminar Green Hita Village The seminar was held in a meeting room at a restaurant in the Penimbangan Beach area on July 8, 2026. It was organized through a collaboration between the THG Taruna Hita Global Foundation and the Indonesian Child Aid Foundation. The seminar opened with a message from the Deputy Regent of Buleleng, read by Luh Putu Adi Ariwati, S.E., M.Pd., Secretary of the Buleleng Regency Education, Youth, and Sports Agency. Attendees included representatives from the Buleleng Regency Health Agency (Public Health Division); village staff representing the Village Heads of Panji Anom and Pemaron; school principals from Panji Anom and Pemaron villages. GREEN-FORUM Taruna Hita Global THG Foundation held the Buleleng Regency Environmental Community Communication Forum in Singaraja on March 22-23 2026 with the theme:  "THE LOGIC CRISIS GIVES BIRTH TO THE CLIMATE CRISIS THAT IMPACT THE HUMANITARIAN CRISIS" This activity was attended by various groups, from students, college students, to the general public.
