Thank you very much to all parties who have supported this activity. Learning groups for elementary and junior high school students in villages in North Bali. Many thanks to all those who have supported this activity. We learn math, Balinese, Indonesian, English and handling plastic waste together.

The free Ecorner Lebahsiung course in Paji Anom Village is a learning group for children around Lebahsiung Banjar, including learning English, science, mathematics as well as education on ecobricks and management of plastic generation in support of Zero Waste.

Ecorner Lebahsiung is managed by Taru Hijau community in collaboration with volunteers from experienced teachers including Mr. Made Suastika, Mrs. Rini Muliadi, Mr. Komang Putrawan, Mr. Komang Rena.

Why Project Stop Luutung?

Lutung is a word often used in Balinese folklore, which means ape or monkey. One of the famous folklore titles in the past was I Lutung teken I Kekue (Monkey and Tortoise). The Melenia generation and Gen Z may barely know the Balinese word lutung. We don't discuss the story, but the play on words becomes Luu tung. Luu means trash in Balinese and tung means throw. Luu tung we mean throwing rubbish carelessly. Langurs (monkeys) that steal bananas eat the contents and throw the skin carelessly. The meaning in question is that for people who throw rubbish carelessly, we have the connotation of being a langur or monkey.
